The class that I teach has its foundation in CAPPA Childbirth Education principles, coupled with Evidence Based Birth. I strive to provide a very thorough curriculum that covers the final trimester through the early postpartum period. You will finish this class with the knowledge and tools that you need to enter into labor with confidence!
The value of meeting privately together in your home as we work through this class, allows for plenty of freedom to ask questions and practice positions and comfort measures that will help you cope with labor. Classtime is 6 hours and both partners are requested to be present. Cost $300
All new parents are handed their tiny newborn to take home upon discharge from the hospital. It’s at this moment, or very shortly after that they start to think…….NOW WHAT?! In the class, “Now What? Caring for your Newborn,” you will learn all the answers to your many questions. How do I feed my baby? How much do I feed my Baby? Will I ever sleep again? What if my baby starts to cry? What swaddle works best? How do I bathe and diaper my baby? What are the best products to have on hand when we get home from the hospital? During this interactive and fun class, all your questions will be answered and you will leave feeling confident and capable of caring for your newborn during their first few months of their life! Class is offered privately, in your home, so that all your questions can be answered! Approximate length is 2 hours. Cost $150
Breastfeeding for the Postpartum Mother:
If you plan to breastfeed, you need this class! A successful start to breastfeeding is built on knowledge and support, both of which you will receive in this in-depth class!
This class is 1:1, in the comfort of your home and is designed to teach you everything you need to know about breastfeeding your newborn. We will review the benefits of breastfeeding, understanding the components of breastmilk, supply and demand, all about the latch, nipple care, positions that go beyond the traditional, as well as answering your questions! Common questions new parents have are:
How Often Do I Breastfeed?
How Long Should Baby Be On the Breast?
How Do I Know if Baby is Getting Enough Milk?
We will discuss burping as well as review some of the challenges that might arise, including supplementing, pumping and partner involvement, as well as make suggestions for setting up nursing stations in your home.

Bottles/Breast Milk/Formula and more… This class is designed especially for mothers that are choosing to bottle feed their babies from the start. In this class you will learn everything you need to know about the options for which bottles are best for a baby, what formulas are recommended, how to pump if you’re intending to use breastmilk as well as cleaning bottle/pump parts, proper guidelines for storing breastmilk and proper guidelines for mixing and storing formula. You will come away from this class being fully informed and knowledgeable about all things bottles/pumps/breastmilk and formula! This class is 1:1, in the comfort of your own home and last approximately 2 hours. $150
This is the perfect option for second time parents or someone not using a birth doula but desiring a consultation from one! Jodi can meet with you either virtually or in person and answer questions about pregnancy, labor, and birth, as well as help you construct a birth preference plan or registry list! $150
