Labor and Birth

Preparing for your baby's birth is a very exciting time. With my education and many years of experience, I bring with me a sense of calm and peacefulness, as well as knowledge, to usher in the  final months of your pregnancy, labor and the birth of your baby. Many couples find themselves surprised by the lack of medical staff present during labor. One advantage of having me with you during your labor and delivery is that you are never alone. I remain with you the entire time. I implement your birth preferences to tailor my approach, thereby supporting your transformation into motherhood.

Your Birth Doula support includes 2 pre-birth, in home visits. During these visits we will focus on your individual birth preferences, coping and comfort techniques, what to expect as labor progresses, transitioning from home to the hospital and any questions that you may have. From the moment you sign your contract to the birth of your baby, I am available via text, email and phone to answer questions, offer insight and evidence based information for any questions that arise. Together we will decide whether you wish for me to join you in your home or at the hospital once active labor begins. I remain with you through the Golden Hour. I am a Lactation Educator and I support new mothers with the initiation of breastfeeding following birth. As your birth doula I will remain by your side supporting your choices to labor as you choose.

 FEE: $1800

Postpartum & Newborn Care

Making the transition from the hospital to home can be challenging as you recover from birth and your family adjusts to a new sleep (or lack of) schedule. New parents usually underestimate how overwhelming this transition can be. As your Postpartum doula, I will be there to care for you and your family as you recover. You deserve to be nurtured as you nurture your new little one. Sleep is vital to your recovery and I will encourage you to rest while I am in your home. I will help in the kitchen, do newborn laundry, nursery organization, run errands and do grocery shopping if needed. I provide lactation education and support, bottle feedings, instruction on pumping and milk storage guidelines, infant care and newborn hygiene education as well as support with infant soothing techniques. I am known for my compassionate and non-judgmental support as you process your birth and your new role as parents.

Fee:  $45/hour daytime shifts(4hour minimum)

         $50/hour overnight shifts (8hour minimum)

I am a Certified Sleep Consultant

As a certified sleep consultant I bring with me a wealth of knowledge that will positively impact the families who wish to sleep train their baby/child.

I will be there to guide you in the process. From experience, I can assure you that things will go much smoother than you can imagine and your entire family will benefit as you watch your baby/child learn to sleep with less help from you. With a customized sleep plan and my support, the process works and the results are life changing.
