Get to Know Me

•My ❤️ is my family! I have five wonderful adult children, one grandson and an adoring husband.   •My husband and I owned a five generation dairy farm with 200 cows. We recently sold the farm and our home in upstate New York to the Amish. 

•I am adopted

•I spent my early years growing up in Northern California.  
•I moved to upstate New York when I was in the 9th grade.  My graduating class had 42 students! Years later I worked for the same school as the school nurse.   

•I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. My favorite memories include a family with 6 children, the youngest being a newborn. I earned $1/hr!  

•I am creative! I love to sew, knit, decorate and write. 

•I am an education junkie. I am always looking for the next learning opportunity.   
•I don’t have an athletic bone in my body and I truly despise anything that involves heavy breathing. However I have come to love my long walks and incorporate those into my weekly schedule. 

•I dreamt of becoming a midwife but my plans got derailed. Through my work as a birth and postpartum doula my life long desire of being a birth worker has been fulfilled. I absolutely love what I do!   

•I have personally experienced a Cesarean birth as well as unmedicated and medicated births. 

•Every birth is different. I have learned from my personal birth experiences as well as the 200+ births I have attended as a birth doula.
